The Black Oxford: Untold Stories exhibition gives an overview of the scholars and includes archival material, memorabilia and archival footage.
The exhibition is an interesting addition to the heritage tour, or it can be viewed on its own. The exhibition is divided into the following themes:
Oxford's Originals
To become the first requires hard work, self-belief and determination. These scholars all made history when they became Oxford University's first black scholar, first woman scholar and the first Rhode Scholar
Men to Ministers
Oxford has produced many great leaders, some names may be familiar to you, and some may not. Men to Ministers celebrates the black scholars that went on to achieve leadership of their countries becoming Prime Ministers, Presidents and Heads of State.
Rhodes Scholars
Academic ability; sporting activity; personal rectitude, strength, compassion and sense of the public good are all qualities required of a Rhodes Scholar. All qualities reflected by the black scholars awarded a Rhodes Scholarship

Great legal eagles
From barristers to Chief Justice, a number of black scholars came to Oxford to study law. They carved out distinguished careers in their chosen legal field. Some of the scholars utilised their knowledge of the law as a stepping stone into politics.
